He graduated from Faculty of Divinity, Dokuz Eylül University, in 1994. In 1999, he received his MA degree, with a thesis entitled “The Concept of 'al-shay' (the thing) in the Islamic Theology” at the Institute of Social Sciences, Cumhuriyet University. Since 2009, he completed his PhD study, with a dissertation entitled “A Religious-Philosophical Approach to the Concept of Environment” at the Institute of Social Sciences, Dokuz Eylül University. He works, currently, as a lecturer at Faculty of Theology, Cumhuriyet University.
