He graduated from Faculty of Divinity, Ondokuz Mayıs University, in 1997. In 2000, he received his MA degree, with a dissertation entitled "Sociological Foundations of Atheism and the Responses of Theism to it" at the Institute of Social Sciences, Ondokuz Mayıs University. In 2006, he completed his PhD study, with a thesis entitled "Alvin Plantinga's Philosophy of Religion" at the same institute. He works, currently, as a lecturer at Faculty of Science and Letters, Ondokuz Mayıs University.
