He graduated from Department of Sociology, Boğaziçi University, in 1994. In 2002, he received his MA degree, with a dissertation entitled "Religion Philosophy and Big Bang Theory" at the Institute of Social Sciences, Marmara University. In 2005, he completed his PhD study, with a thesis entitled "The Theory of Evolution from the Perspective of Philosophy of Religion" at the same institute. Also he finished his second PhD at the Institute of Social Sciences, İstanbul University with a thesis entitled "Islam in Turkey in the process of globalization" in 2010. He works, currently, as a lecturer at Department of Philosophy, Yıldız Technical University.
