He graduated from Faculty of Theology, Ankara University, in 1977. In 1990, he completed his PhD study, with a dissertation entitled “The Relationship Between Body and Soul According to Immortality” at the Institute of Social Sciences, Dokuz Eylül University. He is, currently, dean of Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University.
