He graduated from Faculty of Theology of Marmara University in 1997. In 2000, he received his master's degree with his thesis entitled "Pre-Sokratik Dönemde Yunan ve Hint Düşücesinde Ruh Görüşü" at Institute of Social Sciences of Marmara University and in 2009 he completed his PhD entitled "The concept of causality in Gazali and David Hume" at the same institute. He is Associate Professor at Istanbul University.
