He graduated from Faculty of Divinity, Dokuz Eylül University, in 1986. In 1989, he received his MA degree, with a thesis entitled “Existence of God and His Attributions in Farabi and Thomas Aquinas” at the Institute of Social Sciences, Dokuz Eylül University. In 1997, he completed his PhD study, with a dissertation entitled “Atheism in Contemporary British Philosophy” at the same institute. He works, currently, as a lecturer at Faculty of Theology, İstanbul University.
