He graduated from Faculty of Theology, Selçuk University, in 1989. In 1996, he received his MA degree, with a thesis entitled “The Problem of Freedom in Religious Existentialism” at the Institute of Social Sciences, Selçuk University. In 2002, he completed his PhD study, with a dissertation entitled “Religious Symbolism” at the Institute of Social Sciences, Dokuz Eylül University. He works, currently, as a lecturer at Faculty of Religious Sciences, Social Sciences University of Ankara.
